I WAKE UP AT 4:30AM

I LOVE to enjoy life.  I LOVE to work. I also LOVE time with my family. How do I run a real business and have time for everything? Wake up earlier.  It's that simple. Create a routine that allows you to get everything done in a day that fulfills you.

My personality type typically states that I'm terrible at time management and organization. This  means I force myself to spend extra time managing my calendar by the minute/hour. For example, here is my schedule today:

4:30am Wake Up

5:00am Gym

6:00am Get Ready

7:00am Coffee Meeting

8:00am Inbox, To-Do's, Personal Work Activities

9:00am Office Meetings, Office Staff Support, Training

10:00am Meeting

11:00am Phone Calls & Inbox Again

12:00pm Farm Show w/ Family

4:00pm Volunteering at Farm Show

9:00pm Clean Inbox, Return Calls, Clean the phone's notifications

9:30pm Time with my wife

10:00pm Lay down and wind down until I fall asleep

Tomorrow, I'll start all over again at 4:30am - 5am.  I want to be able to do more in a day than some accomplish in a week.  That comes from determination in my own schedule, surrounding myself by positivity and the right caliber of people to accomplish this.  I'm also forcing myself to maintain a balanced diet, amount of water, and a little bit of caffeine to keep the energy moving.  If you're saying to yourself, "I don't have time". In my opinion, you're simply not making something a priority.  Nowhere in my schedule will you see watching movies, watching TV, playing games on my cell phone, surfing the web, arguing, social media drama, or anything relative to those points.  I watch TV occasionally while winding down at night.  I watch movies whenever I'm flying on a plane. I haven't had a game installed on my phone since 2007. Ok, I lied.  Blackjack is installed for airplane rides once I run out of downloaded movies.

I still have a ton of work to do on focusing and eliminating all distractions, but for whatever it is worth, this is how I'm accomplishing everything I want to accomplish in a day.  I'm micromanaging my personal schedule to maximize efficiency. If I'm not doing something to better myself, my family, my company, or advancing myself for the next opportunity while the sun is out, I need to reevaluate my schedule.

Lookout 2017... I'm going to be working harder and smarter than ever.

New Year, New Me...

The last week I've been observing people joining the gym for the first time or getting back into a healthy routine.  My time to workout is typically between 5am - 6am.  So I get to see all of the early birds.  Here is my best advice for anyone starting the "New Year, New Me" in the fitness category.

Feeling sick, getting stuck, feeling like you can't... These are all signs of your body trying to fight a bad habit, not signs of fitness being wrong for your life style.  Whether we want to admit it or not, we are creatures of habit. It takes most people close to a month to recreate a new routine or habit around a schedule.  However, it takes most six months, a year or for me it was close to three years before I finally felt like I was were I wanted to be.  If you've begun to follow inspiration on websites, instagram, or reading articles... REMEMBER those individuals have spent their whole life and health and fitness is career to them.  Most people struggle with getting just 30 - 60 minutes a day in, BUT most people can make it a priority if they want to feel healthier and happier.

Nothing good comes overnight.  Everything great takes hard work and dedication. Your ambition to be healthier needs to stay within you past January and February... in the summer you can't make those nightly runs to get ice cream. There's nothing wrong with it every once in awhile, your body needs to know how to process it. Its a lifestyle commitment and change.  Everyone can do it though, just don't give up the first time you puke from working out or the first time you fail.

Welcome to my journey

Welcome to my journey

It has been a goal of mine for the last couple of years to officially create a personal website to display my personal journey and portfolio of work.  With the help of my friend DevonStank.com, I've finally been able to make this happen.

I am the proud founder, owner, and active event DJ and Producer for Klock Entertainment in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Throughout the last couple of years, I've poured an insane amount of work into our services, brand, and client care to create a life-long platform for the entertainment and production company I want to see KE continue to grow towards.  My goal with this website is to share some media, type a few blogs, and share my story with peers, clients, family and even the haters.

With this being my first blog, I invite you to read my Bio on the "About" page.  I've been pushing forward with my vision since 2004.  I've been full-time since 2011 and I'm still at the beginning here in 2016.  My last five years have consisted of running Klock Entertainment, still being an active DJ and event lead for weddings, social, corporate, and nightlife along with balancing time with for the personal schedule with the family.

In 2008 I attended my first DJ Expo in Atlantic City.  This exposed me to many other event professionals that shared the same passion and energy for not just doing what you love on the weekends, but creating a business and legacy to leave behind.  I've gained many nuggets, consistent alignment, and help from mentors.  I want to pay it forward with this website through my blog section.  Whether you know me through the DJ Community, personally, or happen to stumble across my stuff, I hope I can drop a nugget to help you with your life.

I welcome followers on all Social Media Platforms.  You'll find me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Snapchat all with the username @jasonklock.  You'll also find my company with the user name @klockentertainment or @klockent for twitter.
